# BTO ballot chance calculator

Enter the application rate for your flat type and category, your ballot chances, and who else is applying. The estimate is your chance of being **invited to book** a flat (getting a queue number within the flats available), not of getting a particular unit.

## How to use it

1. Find the application rate for your project and flat type on the [HDB Flat Portal](https://homes.hdb.gov.sg/). Use the rate for your category (for example first-timers) when HDB publishes one.
2. Enter the number of ballot chances HDB shows for your application.
3. Optionally set the mix of other applicants and the share of invited applicants who decline.
